Designed by Setsu and Shinobu Ito, the Inori modular book shelves offer a versatile system in glass or wood, adaptable as a showcase, display case, or TV unit. Available in both free-standing and wall-mounted versions, the shelves feature freely adjustable uprights that slide along anodized black aluminum rails for customizable spacing. The name “Inori,” meaning “pray” in Japanese, reflects the vertical design of the shelves, reminiscent of hands in a gesture of giving, receiving, and gratitude. These “hands” create a sacred personal space, holding and protecting books and cherished possessions.
